They Want Me....
So I got an offer last night... That's right ladies and gentlemen, after a flurry of calls yesterday WAMU made me an offer. I get the offical offer today when Seattle wakes up cause thats where HQ are. Old girl will see if there is any wiggle room to find a few more incentives cause my manager is trying to come up with a counter offer! I feel so wanted, so needed! That's all for now will update later today!

ReplyDeleteearlier i just glanced at the picture without reading it. (i'm a visual animal) so now that i've caught up on ur blog...congrats baby girl. make sure you focus on the scope of the role before you sign on...at this stage of your career you want to increase the amount of responsibility that you will have...not just shift the type and of all things make sure thatthe role is not a decrease in responsibility...even if it is an increase in salary. and i know ur probably saying to urself "sure malika you can say that", but i'm speaking from experience...the income is not ALL that matters. You also have to focus on the PIVOT. you'll have a rough time trying to explain to employer C why you make the shift from A to B. You also want to nsure that there is professional growth.

oh yeah, the wiggle room can come in the form of extra week vacation, increase in annual bonus %, signing bonus, flex fridays, 5 dyas a year in professional training & development/seminars etc. don't justthink cash.
