I had a mini melt down this morning...
And it didnt look good.... I need to purge now.
Too much clutter in my apartment and in my life. I am taking the weekend to throw out the things I have collected but dont really need. I mean if I havent touched something in over a year or 2 or 3 years in some cases, I guess I dont really need it. I gotta stop holding on to stuff just because.
lol...ask your sister what my spot looks like.
ReplyDeleteMy mantra is that if I haven't worn it WELL in the past 18 months, let it go...which includes no holding onto "what if I get fat clothes" or "maybe I can get back into that"...let it go, let it go, let it all go!!!!
Paper is non-negotiable...shred as much as possible!!!
No need to keep the entire magazine, take the article you like and recycle the rest.
Books that refer to Windows 95 must go!
Every cd that is already on my iTunes must be stored somewhere I can not see it :o)
If I haven't eaten a non-perishable item in my pantry for over 6 months, donate it to someone I know who will use it before it expires.
And after all that purging, the real cleaning can begin.
My goal is to streamline all my material items into 1 room in my home...granted I have many rooms to spread myself but that's what got me in trouble in the first place...there's CRAP everywhere...making me hot and causing ineffeciencies.
do it Nai...do it...PURGE.
you'll feel lighter, I swear.
hmm. i'm taking a dose of my own medicine. for reason sthat deserve their own post -but i dont have energy to do it just yet- i will need to move out of my townhouse in birmingham and most likely move into a 1bed or studio in Dearborn. That said, i plan to downsize everything. and i mean everyting. the fablous table that seats 12 and yet i have no kids. will be sold on craigslist, all of the clothing from my days of buying mens sizes. yup will be gone. i plan to put everything i dont want or gotta say maybe about into a bin and send it to umi who will surely send it to senegal. i will tell her to have a 1week come and get it it give away and then all else goes to the brethren in the motherland.
ReplyDeleteexample...last week i got so tired of looking at shoes that i don't wear anymore -all purchase pre surgery and worn maybe 1-3 times in total...well over $1000 in cost- that i boxed them up and paid 50 bucks to send them to mbaye in senegal. yup 10 pairs of shoes...INCLUDING A PAIR OF YSL's THAT I GOT ON SALE FOR $250!talk about inefficiences. made no sense paying that much.
anyway. revisit, remember and release.
Paper is my biggest culprit. And hair products. I give my clothes to my sisters or good will so I'm cool on that front. Gimme whatever will fit a sister. Hollah. LOL.
