Day Two- Back on the Wagon


So after a night of partying and climbing into bed at 3:30am ...my boy called me at 8:15am to say he'd be to our train stop in 35 mins to hit the gym. I mumbled something back I guess it was something like "cool" and rolled over. My mom called at 8:19am and I mumbled something else into the phone... she tells me to call her when I get up. I am laying there in my bed trying to will my body up at 8:30am. My body doesnt comply...

"Get ur fat butt out of bed" I say to myself... "I thought u wanted to lose weight? it sure as hell aint gonna happen with u laying in bed."

..."but I danced pretty hard at reggae Sunday" my wary body whines back.

"oh yeah...did u forget about those 2 glasses of red wine and the vodka & orange juice?"

...."I only had half of the mixed drink, I danced it off" my body tries to convince me.

But by this time my mind has willed my legs off the bed and I am sitting up.

..."I'm tired...I wanna sleep... we can go later" My body doesnt wanna lose the fight and pouts all the way to the train station.

I had a great workout....60 mins of cardio!

  2. whichever friend that is that's calling you to go to the gym in the morning...keep them around.

    and for the ones that say lets go eat and drink say "i got a better idea...lets go to the gym or lets walk to brooklyn from midtown in the cold"
