I want......

I want to fall in love so hard that it hurts to breathe..
I want to be able to get on the treadmill and run on level 8 for 45 straight minutes...
I want to smack the shit out of that fine ass brotha I jus saw walking down the street with that white chick and didnt even have the decency to look ashamed
I want to buy that brownstone on Carlton, and each of my friends to buy up each house on Carlton bet Dekalb & Willoughy....and jus run shit!
I want to send my son to an all Black private school, that is on par with Packer Collegiate & Brooklyn Friends..
I want Bush to be impeached...
I want to see Black Men when I get to work, who dont work in the mailroom....
I want to be respected...
I want to be more tolerant and understanding...
I want to walk into a store and by something off the rack and not have to alter it to fit my waist & hips not jus fit one or the other....
I want my friend to make a movie that resonates my story....not that new black exploitation B*llSh*t
I want to fall in love with a man who stimulates me Mentally, Physically and Spiritually and when i think him it hurts to breathe....

  1. YEEEEES! that had so much yearning and passion in it!

you know, i still chuckle when i think about what you said the first night we hung out:

"i'd rather he came home with a man..."

that has to be the funniest ish i've heard in YEARS.

oh, and i'm stealing this idea. i've gotta do a list of my wants too.

  2. -yeah...i think i'll do a list of my wants too.

-careful what you ask for...cuz personally, i'd rather he had come home with a white woman than sneaking around with a man.

-contrary to what you think nai, i believe this speaks volumes. i love the way its written.

  3. Whats wrong with a black man and a white woman? Not exactly very intelligent thinking to attract a man who stimulates in all the ways. Stop being racists. You are no different than those hate mongers that in rural georgia who burn crosses in peoples' yards becasue they dilute the purity of the white race.

  4. Black Men choosing to share thier life with a white woman is a complete rejection of me and every black woman. The history of the black female in relation to the white female is too fresh too recent too close to home too constant too everyday a slap in the face that....the black female is not enough and can never measure up to the white female. I dont expect u to understand, no one can understand except another black woman. not even the black man. I dont blame, or hate, or expect anything...I am just expressing that I am wounded and hurt by these actions.

  5. oh goodness...who is this anonymous poster...LOL.

I enjoyed reading your many mantras, wants and desires.

If I don't go to Boston this weekend, I'm coming to brunch!

Ron Brown was fierce yesterday, even if the theatre was filled 10% but hey, I got a chance to say what's up to the Chairman of the Board...Reggie Van Lee and so even if I looked like an eskimo from head to toe...it was worth attending the 2pm show.

hope you enjoyed the 7pm show.

  6. Ok, i hate to kinda sorta agree with the anonymous person.
see i believe you should seek love in whatever form it comes in.

if ur a man and the love you seek is in the form of another man then so be it baby (just don't go lying to women that your engaged in relations with about your history and/or tendancies)

if ur of one race and u find love in another race then that's cool too.

WHERE I HAVE ISSUE is when you purposly seek out a partner from another race simply on race. that speaks volumes on your self love or self hate. whereas, if you seek out a partner from your own race then it is more a 'natural' draw -ie: drawn to what you knew as a child. ie: a black family/love

that said, its more than race, its also class, social circles, education, religion, pastimes, goals etc.

and then at some point can't we argue that the differences are enough to help us counterbalance eachother?

i think this topic is too grey to address in blog posts...

  7. If you fit all the clothes off the rack with no alterations, you'd have no shape. Love all that booty you got. All the mannequin-type women on the street do!
